Ray GuiuRay was born in Havana, Cuba. His parents were of French, British, and Spanish background who immigrated to the Island nation decades before he was born. He and his mother Emma Guiu-Volta, came to the United States when he was 10 years old. At that early age he started his singing career with performances at Disney World and local gigs.
At 16 he moved to California, where he embarked on his modeling career. He enjoyed the surfing and California vibe until he returned to Florida to work as an actor in a series of Telenovelas at Telemundo Network. By 21 he was working on a television game show entitled El Baul de la Fortuna, from there he was cast as the host of Latin Tempo. His career progressed with Nace Una Estrella (A Star is Born). Finally, he created his own production company, Golden Unicorn Films, and produced, starred, and directed the popular television show Estrellas del Momento which ran for 15 years on the Azteca America Network (Mx). In Films Ray has worked as a lead and/or supporting actor in movies such as D.V.8, Spring Break, My Daughter's Dilemma, and the upcoming film set for release in Fall 2021, Clown Motel 2 where he plays the handsome archeologist, Roy Thompson.
